Help for Haiti: Learn What You Can Do

Welcome to Green Spiral's online home, msupagans.org!

Here you'll find anything and everything you want to know about Michigan State University's only pagan-centered networking group.

The events page has the latest information on this month's meetings. Our Facebook and Twitter pages are also frequently updated with the latest news.

This semester we are planning on adding more social events to the calendar. We have received plenty of great ideas from members over last semester and are always open to more. We've also lined up several popular speakers and are planning an Ostara dinner like the one we had before Thanksgiving.

See you on Thursday,

Alex

What is Green Spiral? PDF Print E-mail
Green Spiral is MSU's official pagan organization, and includes MSU students, professors, and members of the local community. Founded in 1996, Green Spiral exists to provide a structured, readily accessible organization for Pagans at Michigan State University and in the surrounding areas. It is open to people of any age, religion or level of experience. We are, above all else, committed to the support and celebration of free religious expression.

We have a "safe place" policy in effect. If our members do not wish to have their membership publicized, their membership will be held in the strictest of confidence. No members will be photographed or videotaped without permission. One of our goals is to provide a place where pagans can meet other pagans without having to hide their beliefs from people they do not wish to reveal themselves to.

Green Spiral is an eclectic organization. In Paganism, this term is widely used to mean "drawing from many sources". For example, if a pagan organization or coven refers to themselves as "eclectic", then they do not derive their philosophy, rituals, or beliefs solely from one school of thought, rather, many. We welcome all paths and ask that everyone remains respectful of the differences therein when involved in group activities.

We are not a ritual group, though we may be able to put members in touch with ritual groups that suit their needs.

The group meets regularly on-campus and occasionally organizes trips to festivals and gatherings For more information, feel free to sign up for the free email list to have updates and events emailed to you or become a fan on Facebook for up to the minute information.
